Abstract This paper proposes an optimal voltage control method for a wind farm (WF) combined with distributed energy storage systems (DESSs), where the DESSs are connected to DC sides of turbines (WTs). In proposed method, WT units and can be coordinated minimize fluctuation terminal buses, distance between buses rated value, power losses inside WF collection system.
